Discover how Dr. Julia Robinson Moore and the Preserving Sacred Spaces Initiative are restoring forgotten African American burial grounds in Charlotte, NC, and how
Charlotte Seven - a documentary produced by Cowboy Collective captures this powerful story of history, preservation, and racial reconciliation.
The Power of Color
Cowboy Collective stepped in to round out the creative team, producing a photoshoot that captured the power of Pantone’s Color of the Year through the lens of Spoonflower’s unique products.
The Perfect Pairing
The team creatively retouched images for a regular pharmaceutical client, portraying a patient's hopeful future after medication. They utilized in-house stock photography and studio shots to meet the client's specific visual requirements, resulting in a successful and unique solution.
Rebranding After Fifteen Years
Cowboy does brand work! We were thrilled to partner with Spoonflower create a new brand look and feel that showcases the evolution of the brand, taking it from a household name among craft aficionados to an influential design and decor company. Take a look inside to learn how our creatives led this project.
A Creative Collaboration
The Lookbook is back! The longtime partnership between Cowboy Collective and Spoonflower’s creative team made the production of the first printed magazine since 2020 a dream! Cowboy’s talented crew produced the four-day shoot and retouched the final images to bring the Spoonflower team’s creative vision to life.
Holiday Mini-Mailer
The Cowboys brought a full suite of skills to the table for Spoonflower’s “Winter Colorland” holiday mailer—from retouching to copywriting to digiteching. The result: a vibrant, energetic mini-catalog that showed off stacks of gorgeous fabrics, perfect for cozy crafting nights.
Durham ID
Durham ID (short for Durham Innovative District) is a 27-acre project in the heart of our city, intended to create spaces where people can live, work, and play. This production was special to us because it gave us an opportunity to highlight a growing part of our hometown. We love showcasing our local community!
Frigidaire
Frigidaire’s top-of-the-line refrigerators, washing machines, and other appliances have made home life run more smoothly since the company was founded in the 1910s. As devoted fans of a frosty beverage and a clean load of laundry, we were thrilled when Cowboy was tapped by D.C. based photographer and director Eli Meir Kaplan to produce a lifestyle photo and video shoot for them!
COVID-19 Update
Though we’re looking forward to “returning to normal” as much as anyone, our commitment to keeping our clients and crew safe is our top priority. Therefore, we’re still running a pretty tight ship when it comes to COVID-19. Our protocols maximize collective safety, direct our interactions with each other on set, and provide the peace of mind we need in order to create our best work.
SPOON-BOY
Durham favorite Spoonflower connects makers and artists all over the world via textiles and home goods, designed and sized for specific projects. Our years-long partnership with Spoonflower gives us a chance to celebrate multiple things we love: good design, local businesses, and bringing creative dreams to life.
Healthcare Advertising
For this conceptual healthcare campaign, we composited several on-location photographs with “bear traps” created by a CGI artist. Click through to see our before & afters!
COVID -19 Protocol
As the coronavirus pandemic continues, every industry is faced with an urgent question: how can we adapt? On-set production is no exception. Here at Cowboy, we’re preparing to jump back into the saddle when it comes to wrangling a shoot —but we’re committed to keeping our clients, crew, and all support staff as safe and healthy as we possibly can.
Black Lives Matter
A note about where we stand:
In May and June 2020, our team, along with many people across the world, collectively began to face the recent police murders of Black people including George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Tony McDade, Elijah McClain, and David McAtee.
